i have this no drama, feel good, slice-of-life, rom-com, highschool Candy Candy modern AU in my head, where Candy is happily adopted without an issue into the Ardlay family when she was a baby, being raised by Albert since then. The Ardlay boys (Archie, Stear, Anthony) have more of a familial tie with her, zero romance of any kind between them, just wholesome family moments.
Terry, Amy, Tom, Patty, all the Ardlay kids, and Candy are childhood friends, and Terry and Candy in particular are a couple of troublemakers to booth! Always up to mischief, those two. Slowly but surely, with the passage of time, these two rapscallions develop romantic feelings for each other alongside their friendship. No drama, no love triangles, no bullies, no child abuse, nothing. Just wholesomeness with my OTP on slowburn on the side.
Candy Candy, although it doesn't have outright tragic endings in any of it's iterations, it is always a very sad story all throughput, filled with strife, tragedy and loss. There's more sadness than joy in the lifes of these characters, specially Candy's, i just wish for all of them to be happy, even if it has to be in an hyptothetical, fanon alternate universe.

The craptastic "watermarks" sucks, i know, but theres's so many people feeding stuff to AI without permission here in this app, i don't wanna risk it. My art might just be a bunch of scribbles colored with the cheapest markers known to man, but I made the AU designs with my own imagination and drew it all with my bare a$$ hands, I'm not gonna make it easy to steal.
As the title says, i finally got the motivation to color this drawing! It's a modern actors AU take on Sapphire and Rock Holmes from Tezuka Star System (not the characters they "act", but as in the "actors" who play the part, always loved that perspective).
I have the headcanon that Rock and Sapphire are actually a couple "irl", and that's why, whenever they happen to be acting on a movie or series together, their natural chemistry is such that the production changes the screenplay to fit (because that was my personal explanation as to why Rock was seemingly randomly given a romantic subplot with Sapphire in The Marine Express when i was a kid).

2) A merciless, manipulative badass girlboss with a slightest touch of kindness in her heart, Roxanna is just too breathtakingly beautiful.
3) I hyperfixated on Chopin from Eternal Sonata *hard* back when i was in middle school, and ngl, even yeats after the hiperfixation stopped, my heart still melts a bit at the sight of that soft smile. Read Note

Recently, I've been feeling really depressed and a lil' bit nostalgic, so i went back to my comfort fandoms, such Astro Boy & other Tezuka stuff in general, and felt the irrationally strong urge to see the cast in an even more metafictional role as if they were really "actors" that do play their characters just as the name and meta logic of the Tezuka Star System suggests and then BOOM! my brain couldn't stop fixating on that and how cute and sweet ot would be. None of the characters actually suffered, there's no drama, just a bunch of happy actors.
I actually must be one of the extremely few people that do ship Rock with Sapphire, I just think the non-binary, takes no sh&t from nobody girlboss goes really well with the delinquent, gatekeeping twink, ok? don't judge me
the drawing is obviously pretty rough, unfinished and not cleaned up, and while I'm not completely abysmal, I'm not THAT good at drawing, either. But like, i wanna see people share their own Tezuka Headcanons in the replies, if they have any and/or they feel comfortable with sharing, idk.

God, i sometimes wish we could review games that aren't installed.
i mean, i understand why it works like this, to make sure review bombing and trolling is harder, but with this, I can't post the glowing all around ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating for Ace Attorney alongside a review that just says "They're Gay, Your Honor" and that's a real shame, because they're really gay, your honor, MC is right there pulling a whole Elle Woods in hopes to get his man back and i need more people to know this fact
