If I were to give thoughts on which game should I talk about, it's definitely Princess Connect! Re:Dive. Let me outline what I like about this game.
*Game mechanics - I'm a big fan of turn based, strategic gameplay. This game helped me a lot with the auto and fast forward function; I'm a working person (not now though, since lockdown) and I'm still able to keep up with most of the content with ease. As for character strengthening, you'll definitely think hard how will you upgrade your character in some stages. What equipment rank do I need her to equip? Should I rank her to 5* immediately or let her stay 3* as is? What is the best comp for this boss, etc.?
*Game arts and graphics - Hands down to Cygames as they made tons of effort when it comes to this. I really like the UB animation of every character, their avatar art on 2* and 3* above, etc. Not to mention, they added motion on 3* arts of the characters, making them feel more alive.
*Game story - I really like fantasy genre, and this game caught me up the most when it comes to story. Very detailed to the point that some of the scenes are actually animated for the reader to enjoy and understand it better. Guild stories are cute as well, and the characters' side stories are really lovely.
*Game events and rewards - To spice things up, every month has a new side story events based on occasions, etc. The rewards given to players are quite handsome too.
*Game gacha - One of the things most games have. Get the character if you like the banner! The rates are pretty decent, and they also have the pity mechanics wherein once you reach the rolling threshold, you'll be able to get the character, and the roll count doesn't revert if you got the banner girl. Lately, they made an addition to the gacha that once you got her, you'll get 100 of her fragments, which helps a lot into starring her up faster with more savings. Regular SSR characters can be farmed in hard mode too, making us enable to get them in other means (this excludes the limited SSR characters).
I have been playing on JP server for a while now, and I'm willing to give this game a solid 10/10 score. Keep up the good work, Cygames! I'm watching the anime adaption episodes weekly too, so big cheers!
