Poem: "Comfort"

The night is here.
I feel too tired,
to even sneer.
I must say that my eyes are heavy.
Can't take another step,
not even a breath.
My friends and I are pretty much drained.
This entire ordeal is too painful,
I cannot keel.
If only, there were some way to quell this form of pain...
What's this? A white robot?
A nurse? Am I seeing things?
...Apparently not!
This wave of soft, flies over my head.
All my dreams come flooding as I lay on this soft bed.
The feelings of dread, nulled by a soft pat.
I've forgotten to remove my hat!
At last, we have time to sleep.
No more the times where slicing silence cut too deep.
I don't want the dream to end.
Yet, my fate stays and my reality bends.
I guess the present will have to do...
Tomorrow may bring more fun adventures too!
I just hope I have my crew.
