Eko Agus Fate/Grand Order 11th Anniversary Review Fate/Grand Order, the long-running mobile role-playing game developed by Lasengle and published by Aniplex, marked its eleventh anniversary in early August 2026 with a multifaceted celebration that combined large-scale offline events, high-production animated content, generous player rewards, and substantial in-game campaigns. Launched in Japan on 29 July 2015, the title has maintained remarkable longevity through continuous narrative expansion, refined gacha systems, and consistent quality-of-life improvements. The eleventh anniversary, themed around a “Chaldea Academy Festival,” successfully reinforced the game’s position as one of the most enduring and culturally significant entries in the mobile gacha genre.
The offline component, Fate/Grand Order Fes. 2026 ~11th Anniversary~ Chaldea Academy Festival, took place on 1 and 2 August 2026 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. The event transformed the exhibition space into a school-festival environment complete with themed areas such as a Memorial Hall, Sports Club zone, Cultural Clubs section, Class Exhibits, Student Council chambers, and a cafeteria. Visitors experienced stage performances, trial quests, merchandise booths, and interactive exhibits that mirrored the in-game academy motif. Live streams of the stages were made available through official channels, allowing international Masters to participate remotely. This dual online–offline approach effectively strengthened the sense of community that has long characterized the Fate/Grand Order player base.
Complementing the physical festival was the release of an original animated short titled Fate/Grand Order 11th Anniversary Movie – Cosmos in the Lostbelt. Running slightly over seven minutes, the film was storyboarded and largely produced under the direction of puccapucca02, who also handled chief animation direction, color design, and multiple animation roles. The short features striking set pieces, including a confrontation between EMIYA’s Unlimited Blade Works and Gilgamesh’s Ea, subtle visual references to earlier Fate routes, and carefully rearranged musical motifs from Fate/stay night. The animation demonstrates the franchise’s continued commitment to high production values even for anniversary specials, serving both as a celebratory piece and a reminder of the visual ambition that distinguishes Fate/Grand Order from many of its contemporaries.
The centerpiece of the gacha offerings is the limited five-star Assassin Hassan-i-Sabbah (Azrael), presented as a youthful “King Hassan Lily” interpretation of the First Hassan. Available on rate-up until 23 August 2026, this Servant arrives with a dedicated trial quest that allows players to experience his kit under favorable conditions. His introduction as a male anniversary Servant after several years of predominantly female limited releases generated notable discussion among the community. Accompanying the new Servant are several specialized summoning campaigns. The Destiny Order Summoning Campaign permits players to select a guaranteed five-star Servant from custom pools divided into the seven standard classes and the Extra classes. Lucky Bag banners themed around various academy clubs guarantee both a five-star and a four-star Servant, while a Beast Order banner offers a guaranteed five-star Beast-class Servant. These systems provide meaningful agency in an otherwise probabilistic environment and represent a player-friendly evolution of previous anniversary summoning formats.
Reward distribution proves particularly generous. Official calculations indicate that the combined login bonuses, mission rewards, free daily Story summons, tickets, and related campaigns yield the equivalent of approximately 210 summons for active players. Daily free Story summons continue until early September, while a temporary triple free Friend Point ten-summon period and permanent Mana Prism bonuses on paid summons further enhance resource acquisition. Cumulative login rewards spanning mid-August deliver Saint Quartz, tickets, materials, and other consumables. In addition, half Action Point costs for daily quests, elevated Great and Super Success rates, and a new Chaldea Academy Uniform Mystic Code improve the practical experience of grinding and progression during the campaign window.
The in-game Chaldea Academy Festival event itself offers a variety of quest types, ranging from beginner-friendly stages to super high-difficulty challenges such as the Ironclad Student Council Room. Stamp-rally and Student Council missions reward substantial materials, quartz, and the new Mystic Code. Concurrently, Servant Strengthening Quests expand beyond the usual seven units to fourteen, delivering meaningful kit improvements across a broader range of older Servants over the course of a week. These updates demonstrate continued investment in the existing roster rather than exclusive focus on newly released characters.
Taken as a whole, the eleventh anniversary campaign succeeds on multiple levels. It balances spectacle—through the offline festival and high-quality animation—with tangible player benefits in the form of resources, selection-based summoning, and permanent quality-of-life changes. The thematic consistency of the academy festival concept ties the physical event, in-game content, and promotional materials into a coherent package. While the core gameplay loop of Fate/Grand Order remains demanding in terms of time and resource management, the anniversary provisions significantly lower the barrier for both veteran and returning Masters.
In conclusion, Fate/Grand Order’s eleventh anniversary stands as a well-executed milestone that reaffirms the title’s enduring strengths: narrative prestige, visual excellence, and a responsive approach to long-term player retention. The combination of a new limited Servant of distinctive design, flexible summoning options, substantial free resources, and community-oriented offline activities results in a celebration that feels both celebratory and substantive. For a game entering its second decade, such a carefully calibrated anniversary campaign provides a strong indication that Chaldea’s operations will continue with vigor for years to come.
