[Q: How come Muzan didn't find the Blue Spider Lily?]
Hello viewers!
Today's topic is about the Demon King Muzan in Kimetsu no Yaiba!
SPOIL ALERT: TODAY'S TOPIC CONTAIN MANGA SPOILERS!!! Please don't read if you haven't read the manga!
Here is a brief introduction of the plot:
- Muzan was once a human.
- He became a demon and cannot get under sunlight.
- He can turn human into demons too.
- He was sick and need the Blue Spider Lily for cure.
- He didn't find it after thousands of year.
------------------------------
So here is the question:
How come Muzan didn't find the Blue Spider Lily?
The official answer is that:
"The Blue Spider Lily only blooms at daytime two or three days a year. And since Muzan and his demon army cannot go under sunlight they didn't find it."
BUT. Then why does this Demon King not have a human army?
Yes I know, human are afraid of demons so normal human won't join the army.
If Muzan threatened human with death it will be effective measurement.
Also, he can disguise himself as a human.
In this episode, Tanjirou even found him acting like a human with his human family and no one discover.
Tanjirou only discovered that because of his super smelling ability.
From this episode we can make a short conclusion:
- Muzan can disguise as human with no normal people noticing.
- He can control his urge to kill/eat human
- Hence, he can build a human army that work for him during daytime.
So, if this Demon King cannot find the the Blue Spider Lily after thousands of years at night, he should've thought of finding them in daytime with a human army.
Well, or Muzan is just dumb and never thought of it.
Personally, I think it will be more convincing that he found the Blue Spider Lily but they cannot cure him anymore since he became a demon.
Or the Blue Spider Lily withered at night so he cannot take them as medicine.
Do you have a better alter explaination of the Blue Spider Lily situation?
