What Do I Do If the Game Stops Working/Bugs
This guide intends to provide quick solutions for any issues Masters may be having with FGO. These solutions will generally solve most issues but are not guaranteed to always work. I will start with the simplest and continue with harder solutions. Do note that it is advised to get a transfer code regardless of the method as things can mess up.
1. Data Cache Clear
This is the easiest solution as it can be done from the game menu and only requires 2 clicks. There are 2 ways of doing this, from the main menu and when the game closes unexpectedly. This method does not require a transfer code but you are still recommended to get one anyway. By using this method you should not lose any save data, but all cache data (NP Animations, Maps, etc) will likely have to be re-downloaded.
- Main Menu
Firstly, you will want to select the "Clear Cache" option.
When this menu pops up, select "Yes". The game will then should then start clearing your cache data and hopefully fix your issue.
- Unexpected Close
This occurs anytime FGO is closed suddenly while it is loading. It also can occur when the game crashes.
This screen will appear if this option is available. If you encounter this unintentionally, you can select "No" as there are rarely any issues when this pops up. However, if you intentionally did this or your game is having issues, then select "Yes" and it will clear your cache data and hopefully fix the problem.
2. Data Clear.
This method WILL ERASE YOUR SAVE DATA. Therefore, you'll want to make a transfer code before attempting this method. Don't say I didn't warn you.
In order to perform a data clear, you'll want to go to your phone settings and look in your "Apps Tab". There you should be given the option to manga your apps. After that, you'll want to find and select FGO and select "Clear Data". The final screen should be like the image below.
After selcting this option all your FGO data should be deleted and redownladed. You'll then have to get your account back by using your transfer code.
3. Reinstalling the game.
This method WILL ERASE YOUR SAVE DATA. Therefore, you'll want to make a transfer code before attempting this method. Don't say I didn't warn you.
This method doesn't require much explaination. Just download the game and reinstall it. This usually solves the problem as you are clearing ALL FGO DATA from your phone.
4. Contacting FGO Support
If all else fails, I would recommend contacting fgo support. You will want to provide them with a detailed explaination and screenshots of the problem if available. They can be contacted via the following email address.
