Q: What happen if Mineta wears hats/head accessories?

Today's topic is about Mineta from My Hero Academia.

Here is a brief introduction of the character:

- Name: Minoru Mineta
- Occupation: U.A. Student

- Quirk: Pop Off, this allows him to produce and pluck ball-shaped objects from his head. The balls will stick to any surface exception Minoru himself.

So here is the question: 
What happen if Mineta wears hats/head accessories? Does he use them one time only and throw away them together with the ball-shaped objects?

In the sport fes arc, we can see that Mineta stick himself on some fabric (aka Momo's clothes). So we can assume his quirk works on fabric too.

And in the internship arc, Mineta is working at Mt. Lady's office while wearing a cloth on his head.

So what happened when he took it off? Did the cloth stick to his all-shaped objects on his head? Did he remove the cloth and with his all-shaped object and throw them away?

With the same logic, what happen if he wears any other hats/head accessories? For example, the graduation hat?
