Balsa the Best Mom

Balsa may not be the biological mother, but she have her priorities down as one. #MrsILoveU She is a main character from Moribito: The Guardian of the Spirit, a story which revolves around Balsa, a bodyguard mercenary, guarding prince Chagum from the assassins and dangers that threaten his life.
Balsa was deeply committed to her job that she went ahead and consulted her trusted specialist just to have a better understanding of the true danger in Chagum's situation.

She's authoritative to her son figure, or maybe at this point, her son! She makes sure that Chagum has the time to reflect on the situation, trust his choices, guided him to the right path, protected him from danger, rebuke him if he reaches to a bad conclusion, and comforted him when he's sad.
Of course, Balsa is still human and has her flaws, but her partner, Tanda is there to keep on check if she has been a bad role.

Tbh, Balsa actually feels more like a father while Tanda is the mother.

Overall, Balsa is the best mother figure so far. There are many best moms in anime out there, but the significant role they played in their sons/daughters' adventure life leaves up to peace or backstory in the anime. Balsa has been playing a very important role as a main character and mother which makes her presence a lot more stronger than other best moms.
