Glasses are common enough accessories in daily life, but compared to real life there are only very few characters in anime who wear glasses, because unlike the real world,  in anime wearing glasses is a way to show the character’ personality. 

When a character puts them on there must be some reasons, like to look smart, to disguise their identities, or simply they are glasses(!?).
