What are reroll accounts?

hshdhdh okay this may sound dumb, but I dont know what reroll accounts are, or what they're for  even though I've been playing rythm/gacha games for awhile now. I know you make a new account and then gacha until you get the (usually limited) card you want because all gacha games have a "Beginners Luck" thing, so its easier, but it's not even on your main account so I don't really get the point srry.
