THE END OF THE YEAR GACHA LIST

Hi everyone, I'm hopeful some of you have come across my Reviews on some of the biggest gacha games this year and they were of help to you. Understanding that I mostly play Global releases and very rarely JP/CN/KR releases but I do try to give them a demo of a few hours. So with that said let's talk about what I think were some of the best Gacha Games this year. (Among the ones I played)

Tower of Fantasy

• The most anticipated gacha game and dare I say game of the year? ToF confirming its CN launch on Dec 16th becoming my most popular review! Thank you for the love and the countless messages on discord asking me how to run the game lol. The game's lock on region and the game itself seemed underwhelming mostly unpolished. Combat system and character customization was amazing and more tweaks could make it even better. The main criticism being no announcement for global and the game itself being very unpolished rn, but still managing to wow and impress many of us. A worthy title to check out if you haven't already. 

 World Flipper 

• A very controversial title this year but a gem in the genre of pinball gachas. This game has amazing arts and truly wonderful storytelling and when it comes to pinball games this easily tops it off, and you'd think all good words but controversial? Its because the sad reality of Global ddevs secrewing over rewards, events compared to the other releases. SEA receiving less rewards gacha rates problems and other stuff I'm not really knowledgeable on but overall the gameplay and story is still very enjoyable. 

 Alchemy Stars 

• My overall favourite Gacha Game of the year very well blended, great designs, decent gameplay, great rewards, good storytelling, great events, great pace, good gacha and great value for money. Tencent did a great job on this game and I hope it continues to prosper the value for money this game offers made it my most spent money on a gacha game this year. A must play at least once but then you get hit with the repetitive grind it requires you without skip tickets and long leveling units process so you don't know if you can actually spend an hour or 2 just leaving your phone on auto grind. So it's certainly not for everyone but can make a lot of ppl happy. 

 Revived Witch 

• Visually stunning game and an insane score to go with a true gem in the gacha space and once again incredible StoryTelling but personally I couldn't link with the combat much its pretty straightforward and simple button mash early game auto mid game and use some brain late game. The game is fairly new and I didn't hit late game but I've made an obviously calculated assumption! The grind is a pain as well sadly close to E7 gear grind and the lact of any special ult animations eventually make the combat stale but exploring the world and listening to the music and the sounds in general throughout the game is just an experience worthy on its own! 

 Blue Archive 

• A game I anticipated very much and have rated very highly and I understand the judgement and the issues surrounding the game. I in no way am saying your issues are small or irrelevant; such as censorship bad rates, rewards etc. Nexon notorious for their own crimes in video games. The game itself is as good as it's JP counter if you give it a chance and enjoy it and ignore some of the stuff thats common act when launching something in global. The storyline in English is great arts are great pure waifu simulator and collector. Enjoy the game bid your time until something more concrete comes along or play something else on this list. 

 NieR Re[IN]carnation 

• The direct (indirect) sequel to NieR Automata a masterpiece, living up to that is already hard but if you play the story, VA and the how well the game looks you might get your hopes up but the lame gameplay and the suffering PvP, raids and grinds during events makes this an overall averagly underwhelming gacha game. Since when has NieR been about such idle combat? Its bloody hack&slash genius genre!! They should've adopted something similar to PGR or a turn based that actually made use of the turned based combat! The rewards are lower compared to JP the gacha has always been bad (mind you I summoned plentiful of 4* includin 2B 9S A2). The game is just sad way to experience something like the NieR franchise if you look pass its cluncky optimization during launch and mediocre combat there is stuff to love just not for most ppl. 

 Slime Isekai Memories 

• A game that offers so much and can be so great but falls short as it fails to differentiate itself from generic gacha games. The game offers the original anime story fully VA using the VN style with some plots of its own. The game offers its players a tremendous amounts of things to do; growing your settlement, playing the campaign grinding exp etc events and ofc the relentless gacha game. Its sad but it is true that 5*s offer a noticeable gap between the lower ranked stars. The game offered remarkable combat system and free roam in 3D around your settlement etc and all in stunning mobile graphics. Yet it falls short due to its grindy core mechanic making it very hard to lvl characters through your play requiring higher lvls to beat story missions but not being able to progress because you need story missions in other to better lvl. The game needn't do such a thing considering the wasp offerings of things do in the game on its own. P.S suffers obvious global/Jp backlash. 

 Luminaria 

• I really wanna be the guy to tell you that Tales of Luminaria is a great game and that Tales franchise had a great year with console and mobile but sadly no. Luminaria is just a sad excuse for a game without a horrible and disastrous launch. The games combat is pale and boring. The CoOp boss has to be the worst system implemented. The characters are mostly boring and stale with really cringy and bad dialogues. The gacha is an outfit collector so if you're into that. The OP I'll give em is really catchy. I love the tales franchise but sadly Luminaria isn't it. 

 Figure Fantasy 

• The best 3D figurine RPG, not to be rude but they're other Fugurine 3D gacha games out there? The game I wanna say looks gorgeous but idk I didn't really sync well with the style (prbs cause all my SSR were males) it just seemed too glossy for my taste. The combat well its an idle gacha game it was idle combat. Though I'm a big fan of strategy placement games this didn't really scratch that itch. The game's alright somewhat P2W but the gacha is easy so they gotta make money somehow. The storry for me was just a cringe fest and I couldn't go through with it but the game itself with its nifty AR features and 3D waifus should appeal to a wide audience so be sure to check it out for yourselves. 
 

 Punishing Grey Raven 

• The Gacha game of the year for me. It's easily the best gacha game out this year. It's got the best combat; a really good gacha system, great stories, great game modes, great waifus & husbandos and great optimization at a very reasonable download size. The game had rocky start with global taking awhile to set its boots down but it's on a great path rn! Just waiting for that little price fix issue in the store. The gacha is great gives you enough time to farm blackcards for all limited $ ranks and the $6 monthly cards help even better. The game offers autos which auto even when u leave the game and very good non auto modes so you can always keep fresh.  It's got a great setting and much more Nier like than Nier reincarnation. Blessed summons for us on Nier banners. Its the only gacha game in my phone rn winning daily driver gacha game award. 

P.s Many more I didn't mention such as Lineage M, Noah's Heart etc. I haven't played them and honestly don't plan to either not really my cup of Tea. Also the game's haven't been ranked in order 1-10 but just randomly written. Since it's just my views on the titles I thought were most impactful globally this year. Share your list in the comments and anything else you may like it. Let's keep it civil and have A Great Holiday Season!
