Marshell D. Teach

#Birthday #OnePiece #Blackbeard #FourEmperors #Myth
Today is the birthday of Blackbeard in One Piece, but NOPE I'm not going to wish him a happy birthday [汗顏] as he's such a bad guy and a villain that stands in Luffy's way of becoming the pirate king. Instead, let's talk about the theory of him being Cerberus (three-headed hellhound from Greek mythology).
If you didn't know, there is a theory saying that Marshall D. Teach aka. Blackbeard is actually an incarnation of Cerberus or he ate the devil fruit of three-headed hellhound.
A few clues to justify the theory:
1. The pirate flag.
The three heads and four bones figure matches the image of Cerberus (3 heads, 4 legs). It also mentions that the zombie three-headed hound that appeared in Thriller Bark Arc was a fake one since there was a fox blending in the dogs.

2. Luffy and Zoro called him "Them".
When they first met him before going to the Skypiea, they used the plural form instead of singular. It's unlikely they were talking about his whole crew since they only met one other person with him, and they didn't know he had a crew.

3. The teeth
In the manga, there were 3 different arrangements of his teeth on all occasions. This may represent three personalities?

4. Cherry pie
Blackbeard's favorite food is cherry pie. There was a custom in ancient Greek that people put a honey cake in the coffins of the dead, allegedly was to please Cerberus with the sweets and hope them escort the dead to the underworld.

5. Second Devil Fruit
According to Marco's words in the Summit War at Marineford, he could possess another devil fruit power because of his strange body structure. What if that was his third? Maybe Hellhound got him three entities and later he acquired Dark and Tremor for each personality?

Of course, this is just a theory, and only Oda knows the truth. But I'd like to know what you think about it. [怪笑][怪笑]
